Mason Foster

Professional Title:
VISION PREM Fellow
Bio:

Mason Foster is a physics and applied mathematics double major with a strong interest in fundamental research and a goal of pursuing a Ph.D. in physics, ultimately aspiring to become a professor.

Mason's research focuses on studying the fundamental mechanisms governing collective emission phenomena in perovskite nanomaterials. This work investigates how electron coupling, dephasing mechanisms, and structural order influence the coherent optical properties of these materials. By exploring the relationship between structural organization and optical coherence, the research aims to optimize perovskite-based materials for next-generation optoelectronic and quantum technologies.

Beyond academics, Mason enjoys working out, playing sports, and engaging in board games with friends.
